TaylorMade SIM MAX Irons
Updated: Aug 19, 2021
TaylorMade heard you. You no longer need to choose between distance and feel with their new SIM Max Iron Sets. TaylorMade took great strides this year in launching these irons to gain back market share in the iron market. We were curious to see if their claims were true, so we gave them a thorough test that we will share with you here.

Performance
So, what does SIM stand for? Well, we’ve seen a few things, but the true meaning is 'Shape in Motion' and builds upon the initial performance gains of the Speed Bridge technology from the M5 and M6 irons. By combining precise design with a number of other enhancements TaylorMade has created a forged-like feel and sound in what is basically a distance iron.
If you are looking for faster ball speeds, high launch and a bit more forgiveness, then SIM Max model is designed for you.
Looking at the bar from top to bottom, the Speed Bridge is highly visible, and the cavity back promises improved stability to the face with a supporting topline. The ECHO Damping System, combined with the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket, remove unwanted vibrations, which results in a better feel and extra ball speed.
Overall, we give these irons a 4.7 out of 5, and earned a spot in our list of top irons in 2021.
